Jake's first bike ride!
We finally got Jake on a bike this year! It still has training wheels but last summer he wanted nothing to do with it. He just took a little ride, not staying on too long, still trying to figure out the mechanics of pedaling. But it was so sweet to watch, especially since he was using Will's first bike with the training wheels put back on. How time flies. :)

Maggie vs. Car Seat
Maggie has been requesting to get in and out of her car seat for a couple months now and has been practicing often. Sadly, I don't let her climb in every time b/c sometimes we're just running late and gotta go! But she does it most of the time and is getting better, she loves it!

Disney World
We're going to Disney! I've wanted to take the kids since we had just Will & Maggie, maybe even just Will. And my brother & sister-in-law have invited us several times to go with them but there were always reasons we couldn't go. One of them being Daniel didn't want to. At all. That was a pretty big hurdle. But for some reason when they asked us early this year, Daniel agreed to it! Even with that obstacle overcome, I still hemmed and hawed for awhile over the expense and 'cause that's what I do but in the end, we agreed to join them!!
As I often do, I've been in planning mode whenever I have the time, looking up character meals, the can't miss rides and ways to keep cool at Disney. Through all this we never told the kids. I wanted to wait until it was official and after I paid the deposit, life just happened and there never seemed to be a "good time." Then I decided I wanted to tell them in a fun way. Like how kids will open a present on Christmas morning and it says we're going to Disney! Especially since this our 1st and probably only trip to Disney (remember the husband obstacle?)
One of my ideas was a treasure hunt and in the end, I felt it the best one. So I created 10 clues and off they went to find their treasure!
They didn't really get it at first...the tissue really threw them off, I still don't understand why

After all the clues, they finally found the treasure!
I found some Mickey Mouse tissue at the dollar store and wrapped it up
with the pamphlet we received in the mail about our trip then put this in the box
They didn't really get it at first...the tissue really threw them off, I still don't understand why
But once we gave them the details, they were pumped!
We can't wait for our incredible vacation with these cuties!!

Horseback Riding
We went horseback riding today! My friend, Ginny, messaged me last week about going horseback riding with the kids. I really didn't think I would be able to go because 3 out of my 4 kids wouldn't be able to ride their own horse and 3 cannot fit in a saddle with me. But Daniel said a couple kids could stay with him, so I took the boys and they had a blast!
Ginny had her 4, Lisa had her 2 and I had 2 of mine, so 6 kids and 3 adults, it was a great time! Will especially enjoyed sharing this experience with his friends, I think. Will had his own horse, Buck and Jake rode with me on Aster but Jake called her Astro. She was a good girl and Jake did really good riding with me, he enjoyed himself for sure. Will loved it too! He did a great job controlling his horse and told me after that his horse didn't like to listen just like him, ha! We arrived about 8:45 this morning for our 9:00 ride that lasted a little over an hour.

So glad my boys got to experience this. It was a great morning!
