Pullin Up

Little miss Moosie conquered a HUGE feat Sunday night. I think I mentioned in her last post that she's been tucking her knees under (fetal position) and pushing up on her arms...the position most kids get in shortly before they start to crawl. Well, Maggie did this, but instead of holding or falling, she pushed up all the way into a sit. That's right!!! She took her hands off the ground and sat on her feet like a big girl! She did this several more times that night, so it was definitely not a fluke. She's even tried to go high knees a couple times but can't hold that very long. THEN yesterday when she was supposed to be napping (but she was quiet so I thought maybe she finally fell asleep) I checked on her and there she was, big as can be, pulled up in her crib-- on her knees-- holding on to the rail, looking over the side. Just amazing. When I walked up, she gave me her usual big smile but added that extra excited, "look what I'm doing!" then as if she'd been doing it her whole life, she pulled all the way up to a stand. I kid you not. Now, she didn't have the best posture, but she did it!! I've told all her therapists and showed two of them and they were pretty impressed. Big girl!!
