Daniel took some much-needed time off work and actually approached me about a vacation destination: Charleston. I've always wanted to go there so I was all for it and I was not disappointed. We left Sunday after church and arrived at our condo about 10:30 Central Time/11:30 Eastern. It's roughly a 9 hour drive- so it took us about 10 and some change with stops. Not bad.
We actually stayed a little outside Charleston in Folly Beach at the recommendation of Daniel's co-worker (turns out he lives in Folly Beach). Hurricane Florence hit the Carolina coast less than a month ago but Charleston was not affected. We stayed in a condo which was beautiful and pretty inexpensive, especially given the space, probably because we were outside the city.
This place really was great. I loved the screened-in porch and we even had a garage. Can't wait to explore Charleston tomorrow!
