The last day of 2012. Wow. Goes by so fast.
We ended the year on a much higher note than we started by moving back to Nashville. Even though we miss Birmingham, it's nice being back with family. I'll post my year in review soon but for now here's saying goodbye to 2012 and wishing you all a very happy new year!
May your 2013 be blessed!

Christmas Festivities
For the past two years at least I've wanted to build a gingerbread house but never got around to it. This year (of all years) I managed to pick one up. Next year I'd like to decorate gingerbread men and maybe even ornaments. I think all these would be fun traditions and gingerbread makes the house smell so good! Here's how our house turned out.
Christmas week was very busy for us- hence the lack of posts. Saturday the 22nd through Sunday the 30th was jam-packed with one festivity or another nearly much every day. We're pretty exhausted but at least we didn't have to travel 3 hours one way on top of that, huh? Get ready for picture overload...

Will's birthday
Having a birthday- or a child with one- near the holidays, particularly Christmas is very difficult. I've worked hard each year to make sure his birthday was as special as if he were born in the summer. Still, it's hard to compete for time amidst all the Christmas celebrations. This year, as with last, we decided to have his party in January but still celebrate his birth day. In addition to our presents and a little cake, we allowed Will to have a sleepover- his first- and he loved it!
We also dug into the gingerbread house (I'll blog on this next) on Will's birthday. We meant to on Christmas Day but never got around to it, I suppose.
Happy 5th birthday, Will, I love you! I'll be back soon with details on Will's superhero party!!
