Oasis of the Seas - Day 7

At Sea

The last day is always so sad! But we enjoyed every minute of it. Most of our day was spent at the Boardwalk starting with the Family Festival that morning. There were lots of games, balloon animals, snacks, souvenir shopping and of course, the carousel. This was a really fun farewell celebration followed by a fun Aqua Theater show called Splish Splash- still some acrobats but with fun and silliness mixed in.

That evening before dinner we took a picture with Bailey, our room attendant, in case we didn't see him the following morning. The kids just loved him! You can see how sad we are it's our last night- except Jake. We took pics with Ralph and Aaron as well, who the kids also loved, to remember our last evening. The kids went back to Kids Club for the last time and we took a walk around Central Park and up on the decks, which were very windy.

Goodbye Oasis of the Seas! What a great trip, we will miss you!!

Oasis of the Seas- Day 6

Friday, March 9, 2018
Cozumel, Mexico

We didn't have any big plans for Cozumel. Labadee was supposed to be the fun beach day, Falmouth the cultural, learning experience day and Cozumel just the walk around, check out the town and see what we can into day. Daniel & I have been here twice before and we wanted to keep costs down with excursions- 6 people can really add up!

Unfortunately, our plans were foiled again. :( When we got off the ship, the skies were clear but after walking around for awhile, rain moved in quite suddenly and showed no signs of letting up. We held out for awhile, shopping and playing in the rain. But eventually we decided our time would be better spent having fun on board rather than wandering around port soaking wet.
So the kids didn't get the cultural experience of Mexico that I hoped-- but the captain advised us before porting here to be careful-- so we were kind of sequestered to the port itself anyway since we didn't book an excursion.

Daniel took a nap that afternoon while the kids were in their respective clubs so I was on my own for a little while. I didn't get into much, esp. since all the outdoor areas were wet- no zipline or anything- but I do enjoy walking around the ship. We never ended up going to the rising tide bar- the timing was never right but we had a little date night watching Thor Ragnarok.

Everyone particularly liked the towel animal that evening and all had to pose with it. Sillies.

At Sea

While port days are very exciting- going new places, seeing new things, sea days are fun and relaxing. I'm one of those people who very much enjoys the onboard activities and think it's all a part of the experience and perks of cruising. So after breakfast in the dining room this morning, which I also enjoy more than the buffets, we went to the boardwalk for face painting! Will opted out because this was a formal night and he did not want to have face paint on or have to wash it off.

I have two cute puppy dogs- a boy and girl one of course- and a beautiful butterfly

The kids spent plenty of time in Adventure Ocean, as requested, Daniel and I actually spent some time in the Solarium (adults only) hot tub, we met Puss in Boots and relaxed some- per Daniel's request, not mine. I like to go and do, he likes to have more down time in the stateroom. That evening was our final formal night. Face paint and all!

After dinner, the kids headed to kids club while Daniel & I saw Come Fly With Me which was a really awesome acrobat show. Amazing what people can do! Such great productions and entertainment aboard this ship.
