Slowly but surely, this room is getting put together. And by slowly, I mean really slowly... it's been over 4 years now that we've lived here and I've wanted to re-do the space. Last month I finally sewed the window covering (I bought the fabric years ago). Here's how they turned out:
I'm all about symmetry so it bothers me a little bit that the valance fills the space further on the right side than the left, but that's how the window is lined up on the wall. So it was this or leave blank wall space and this looked better.
Then a couple weeks ago I finally found a chair for my sewing table! I've looked at thrift stores multiple times with no luck. I could've bought one new, but just didn't want to. And I wanted a chair with a cushion for comfort and so I could recover it with the same fabric as the window covering. Time to spruce it up!
I like how the fabric coordinates with the white chair, but I'm not sure I love the white chair and turquoise desk. I may have to paint the chair to match the desk. We'll see.

Jake's first game!
My cutie little soccer boy! Jake is even younger than Will was when he started, so we don't have experience with this age group "playing" soccer. Yes, organized chaos at best, but just so fun to watch. Jake did good for his first game, even helped score a goal! He possibly kicked the ball in- that's what Daniel says- but so many kids were jumbled it was hard to tell. And I didn't get it on camera, ugh!
Also, on 3/12:
Jake came down wearing a shirt with mis-matched buttons (not lined up)...
Me: "Can I fix this shirt? It's bothering me."
J: "I want to take it off so I can let my muscles out."
-- too cute --
Maggie was lovin' this! Allie... not so much

Kiwi Crates
Daniel found this subscription service to Kiwi Crate where you get a box each month filled with a different project. They were having a sale around Christmas so we signed them up and here's a couple of the little projects Maggie & Jake have worked on. Maggie's is the Kiwi Crate, Jake's is called Koala and I got Tinker Crate for Will. So far they really like them! We did these crates on Friday; Jake was so cute putting together his little pillow.
Maggie and I put together her little pinball machine, it's pretty neat. And is she not just adorable with those bottom teeth missing?! Love it!
