Will's superhero room

Will has wanted a superhero room for awhile. We almost re-did his Birmingham room several times but didn't find what we wanted or Will changed his mind and/or we were short on money and time. We were going to get started on it after his 4th birthday but then found out I was pregnant. Once we knew the baby was a boy and they would be sharing a room, I wasn't sure about a superhero nursery. Fast forward a year (yikes!) and we finally made it happen. As I mentioned during his birthday post, I made elements to double as party and room decor. You should see some things you recognize.  Here's the reveal! (with before's and after's)

Will had bedding, but I was washing it the day of his 'before' picture. I reorganized his bookshelf by putting some of his books in Jake's room (like the baby ones). I added the W and silhouette from his party atop his dresser; the cool Spiderman nightlight was a gift for his 4th birthday. I also hung the superhero bunting from his party on the two largest walls.
The framed superhero pictures were also displayed at his party. I found the bedding at Pottery Barn Kids and really like it in the room even though it was my second choice. My first choice was blue, green & white star bedding that was so cute but it sold out before I could buy it. So I went ahead and got some star sheets from PBK. I found all the tin posters on Amazon for a great price with free shipping!
More superhero pictures and tin signs. We matched each sign with the superhero Will frames- the Captain America pair is my favorite. Even though I probably like the Spiderman tin sign the best, the C.A. combination is really striking I think. The Avengers punching bag was a birthday gift and goes great in the room too. Thor is the only costume we didn't have so he stands on his own. He did receive a Thor costume at his party, so we may add that to the wall as well.
And his birthday wreath is hanging on his door :)

I have a few more projects I want to incorporate, like a nightstand and lamp, possibly some decals or stencils on the blue stripe (non bunting walls) and decoupage his W with comic book page scraps. But overall I'm pleased with how his superhero room came together. And more importantly, Will loves it! He's so excited to have a superhero room and even loves his star sheets. :)
