Funny guy

Will can be so bull-headed and bossy and challenging on one hand, but on the other he can be so sweet, caring and Fun-ny! Seriously, if I'm not getting on to him for disobeying, I'm laughing at something he's said, done or both. The other day (2/1) we took Maggie to the pediatrician (ear infection, yuck!) and Will made friends with a little boy. We arrived first and Will naturally went for one of the two orange dump trucks. Later, a little boy- Dawton- walked in and grabbed the other truck. Will looked at him for a minute then walked over, sat down beside him and said "it's a dump truck, you lift the truck up like this, it goes like this." He apparently thought Dawton needed a tutorial on playing with dump trucks and showed him how to lift the bed up - in Will's defense the boy was calling it a garbage truck.
D: "yea, it's for storing stuff.
W: stands up, "look at my shirt"
D: "oh look at my shirt, it has a basketball"
W: "mine has spiderman"
D: "yea we have basketball and spiderman shirts"
and they just carry on like this for a few minutes when I told Will to introduce himself.
"I'm Will."
"Hi, I'm Dawton and I'm five and I'm in school."
Tell him how old you are.
"I'm four," says Will.
No you're not.
"I'm three."
D: "I used to be four but now I'm five."
And then Maggie was called back so Will had to say goodbye to his friend. It was so precious! I sat watching them thinking how sweet and funny the whole situation was and wished I had my camera. Yea, big fail for a lady doing a 365 project!!! *Sigh. At least I'll always have the memory.

Other funnies lately:
  • After practicing letters: "the I's are going to sleep now the I's are tired." (1/27)
  • After playing with his Toy Story Memory game: "bye guys. I see you after I eat dinner. Night, make good dreams, mwah" (kiss) (1/28)
  • put on his Buzz costume - wings too - pushed the vacuum all over then dropped it down and stood on it as if he were flying (1/28)
  • We had to return Madagascar to Netflix and Will said "no, don't send my movie back, we have to call somebody," picked up my cell phone and said "hey everybody, I want to keep my movie." (1/27)
  • Regularly says to Daniel in the morning: "you be good boy at work and I be good boy at home daddy."
  • Regularly says: "I wanna give sister a kiss" but has started pronounces a "p" instead of a "k"
  • When putting Maggie to bed (tonight): "bad guy can't play in sister's room. Bad guy will take her to OZ and put her in jail and I'll scream 'give me back my baby!' Goodnight baby boo." this story is a marriage between Labyrinth (aka bad guy movie) and The Wizard of OZ. I show him Word World, Daniel shows him David Bowie (the bad guy) in tights. Whadda ya gonna do?
I need to remind myself of these special moments when he's in the middle of acting like a stubborn 3 year old.

  1. They were all funny but the netflix call was my favorite. If Will had actually called, i imagine he would have gotten the movie sent back free of charge. Some of these remind me of kyles antics. I wish I had recorded some of them.
